  1. I always use E – sword, it’s free and so useful. But it lacks a variety of commentaries. Why are commentaries nearly a century old or more, or else dodgy?

  2. Most of the “free” commentaries available in many bible softwares are in Public Domain. Its free to use and distribute. Many of the bible softwares allow you to download the latest bible commentaries, but you have to pay for it.

    That is the reason why you may find most of the same free bible commentaries and dictionaries online.
